Set in the quiet woods of West Tisbury, this landscape celebrates the timeless character of Martha’s Vineyard. Utilizing an existing hand-crafted stone retaining wall, inspired by the historic field walls that weave through the island’s farms and pastures, the design creates a seamless connection between built and natural elements. Along the wall, a vibrant border garden softens the stone with layers of texture and color, featuring St. John’s wort, Agastache, Cleome, Ageratum, and Nepeta among other perennials and annuals. The result is a landscape that feels both rooted in Vineyard tradition and alive with seasonal beauty.
